Constant Change
The one constant in my life has been change Not the kind of change a floating leaf experiences but I like to think purposeful change designed to enlighten and enhance my life. These changes have taken me round the world and round my inner world, this blog I hope will provide the space to reflect upon these changes and bring clarity to it all.

Today's Change!!
It has been a long and winding road of a life that has brought me to this point.
Years of toiling, gigging, talking listening , trying to make my self fit in to oz.
So now finding myself unavoidably under employed (and believe me I tried to avoid it!)... I retreat to what in all likely hood could be my "bliss". Pet Photography!
Makes sense ... I love Pets & I love photography.
So now I will make at least part of my living from taking quality portraits of your Precious pet!

Stayed at a nice little hotel
In Melbourne's CBD very near the Queen Victoria markets.
nice place with a huge balcony.
Great views and a nice bed.
Me and my partner stopped in for a midweek stay, after we got past reception and check-in well it all went well.

I've just read , in the Melbourne Age newspaper that there is a new development planned for St Kilda's esplanade ... a place that needs little enhancement. If this monstrosity goes forward it will the very reason the esplanade was made useless, it will block views of the beach and sea... and replace that view with yet another shopping district... this seems wasteful!
Glass and steel versus ocean views ... this is a no brainer. more as the develops.

Bring me the hat of Alfredo Garcia!
The guy I was then took exception to the idea that in an industry that was supposed to be "creative" that such restraints should be placed on my personal freedom, even then I knew that freedom or the perception of it corresponds directly to creativity, of course now I know that there are very few creative people in what would be seen as creative trades, most people are looking to create a "factory" more akin to all the types of factories you have ever seen making biscuits, cogs, spark plugs... music... whatever, with the one important difference being that they would run the factory... so the real motivation is ... POWER.
We all rationalise the need for this power as our dysfunctions dictate but make no mistake we all crave it.
The trick is to keep a check on our desire for personal power and in my former employers case to keep a check on ourselves if we should ever attain a small measure of power that may enable us to shape the destinies of others, because the truth is the first thing we rationalise away.
So are my hats a metaphor for my regret at the realization that my friend and mentor may have never been neither, or a reminder that I know that statement is truth!
FYI: the only contact we have had in the long years between then and now have been few and instigated by me even though our lives have had many parallel experiences, the most notable being the almost simultaneous births of our children.
